Hillside Modern House

 

In this remodel the proverbial “mid-century modern with good bones” was opened up to maximize space and light while preserving the exposed beam ceilings and expanses of glass that made it so great in the first place. Walls were removed from the kitchen and stair core, and a seismic upgrade done – including a steel moment frame, to make all of that openness possible.
